Note that the <em>Edit<\/em> screen may look different from the <em>Add<\/em> screen. The administrator is able to design different layouts for each purpose of adding or editing an issue. The <em>Edit <\/em>screen can be accessed from any of the following screen locations:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n\t\tQuicklist Report<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tDetailed Report<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tSummary Report<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tCustom Report<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tHome Page Reports<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tNew Issue Summary Screen<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tExtraView Email Notification<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tDrill-down box on the navigation bar<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/v25\/extraview-media\/images\/ug\/part_one\/edit_issue_screen2.png\" style=\"width: 90%;\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"imageCaption\">Edit Issue screen<\/span><\/p>\n<p>To edit an issue:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n\t\tClick on the <b>Edit<\/b> button next to the issue you want to modify. You will see a screen similar to the one above, with data specific to the particular issue<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tMake any changes or add any information<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tClick the <b>Update<\/b> button<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tIf the form is missing any information, usually field values that are required, there will be a popup window that asks you to fill in the missing information.&nbsp; This form may be repeated if upon resubmitting the form, there are further missing field values or dependencies that need to be supplied<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tThe issue has now been updated, and email notification is sent out to the appropriate parties<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tIf your administrator has configured the option, and you are editing an issue by drilling down from a report, then there will be two buttons on the menubar, <b>Update &amp; Next<\/b> and <b>Update &amp; Prev<\/b>. These allow you to move through a list of issues from a report, and to update one, then move to the next or previous issue without going back to the report<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tThere may also be an <b>Update &amp; Continue<\/b> button.&nbsp; When you click this button, there will be a short delay and you will see the message <strong>Saved<\/strong> appear on the screen.&nbsp; You may then continue editing the issue.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Editing an issue that has been entered into the database allows you to update the status of an issue, change incorrect information or add additional information.
