The history button available on edit<\/em> screens controls access to a pop up screen that shows the history of additions, updates and deletions to attachments. In addition, the screen shows a record of all users who have downloaded the attachment to their own computer.<\/p>\n

The same ATTACHMENT_HISTORY LAYOUT is typically used throughout an installation, and can be defined in the global layout area only. Other Business Areas and Projects will automatically inherit it from there. Of course, different ATTACHMENT_HISTORY layouts may be defined in each Business Area and Project.<\/p>\n

Attachment History Screen<\/span><\/p>\n

The following fields may be placed on the layout, and they must have read permission to be viewable by the user role:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
\n\t\t\t\tField Name<\/td>\n\n\t\t\t\tPurpose<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\n\t\t\t\tATTACH_CHANGE_TYPE<\/td>\n\n\t\t\t\tThe operation on the attachment. This is one of Delete, Insert, Update, View<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\n\t\t\t\tATTACH_CONTENT_TYPE<\/td>\n\n\t\t\t\tThe content type of the attachment<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\n\t\t\t\tATTACH_CREATED_BY_USER<\/td>\n\n\t\t\t\tThe name of the user who created the attachment<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\n\t\t\t\tATTACH_DATE_CREATED<\/td>\n\n\t\t\t\tThe date the attachment was created<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\n\t\t\t\tATTACH_FILE_DESC<\/td>\n\n\t\t\t\tThe description of the attachment<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\n\t\t\t\tATTACH_FILE_NAME<\/td>\n\n\t\t\t\tThe filename of the attachment<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\n\t\t\t\tATTACH_FILE_SIZE<\/td>\n\n\t\t\t\tThe size, in bytes, of the attachment<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\n\t\t\t\tATTACH_HIST_TIMESTAMP<\/td>\n\n\t\t\t\tThe timestamp of the event, such as when a user views the attachment<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\n\t\t\t\tATTACH_LAST_DATE_UPDATED<\/td>\n\n\t\t\t\tThe timestamp that the attachment metadata was altered, or the attachment deleted<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\n\t\t\t\tATTACH_LAST_UPDATED_BY_USER<\/td>\n\n\t\t\t\tThe user who performed the operation<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\n\t\t\t\tATTACH_PATH<\/td>\n\n\t\t\t\tThe original path on the client machine where the attachment was stored<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
