The function of this field is to create an onscreen timer that is used to measure how much time is spent processing an issue. The timer may be initialized on an add<\/em> or edit<\/em> layout in either the on<\/b> or off<\/b> state using the default value of the TIMERFIELD. Assuming the timer is on<\/b>, then time is accumulated in the field with each successive edit session. The user will see the timer updating each second that it is turned on.<\/p>\n

Timer field on a layout<\/span><\/p>\n

At this time, only one timer field is supported in an installation within a business area. To configure the timer, you must have the following fields defined in the data dictionary:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

\n\t\t\t\tTIMERFIELD<\/td>\n\n\t\t\t\tDisplay type \u2013 Custom Allow selection on reports \u2013 No Default value \u2013 On or Off Help text \u2013 The time spent working on this issue This field may be placed on an add<\/em> or an edit<\/em> layout and presents the timer to the user, with a button that is used to turn the timer on and off. Being a custom field, it is not possible to report on this field, therefore a second field is defined which is used to provide reporting.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
