Salesforce Integration Guide
The Salesforce Integration Guide is designed to give users of the ExtraView Web-based issue tracking and workflow management system the knowledge and proficiency needed to integrate ExtraView with the Salesforce.com website.
In writing this guide, we anticipate that the reader is familiar with many of the standard issue tracking functions found in ExtraView. We further expect that the reader is fully familiar with the set up, configuration and operation of Salesforce.
The key features and advantages of the Salesforce integration solution are:
- The integration is transparent in use to all users.
- The integration is totally configurable. Like all other aspects of ExtraView, there is no set process, or workflow, or set of fields (with minor exceptions).
- The integration can be configured to map multiple Salesforce objects to a single issue in ExtraView, using repeating rows.
- There is total redundancy of transactions between ExtraView and Salesforce. The integration does not depend on both the ExtraView and the Salesforce servers being online continuously. The failure of one server will not jeopardize the installation, and when a server is restarted, all pending transactions will be executed
