The Quickfind feature adds a fast, indexed search mechanism for text stored in the ExtraView database. It utilizes the Apache Lucene text search library. It is an optional feature that must be turned on within ExtraView.
It is controlled by a task which executes to automatically index newly added text. After adding this task and starting this for the first time, this task should not need to be altered again by the administrator, although the administrator can alter the frequency with which the task executes, using the Manage Quickfind Settings administration utility.
