Navigation Bar Buttons

The navigation bar buttons can be rendered using images or using styles.  Images are the traditional method, and require the building of a set of buttons using a graphics program such as Adobe Photoshop.  This is somewhat time-consuming and requires knowledge of a rather complex program to achieve good results.

Using the behavior setting named NAV_BAR_DISPLAY, the administrator can elect to render the navigation bar buttons with styles.  This requires no expert knowledge to build navigation buttons complete with icons.  These buttons can be colored in any way desired, and different colors for the button title and backgrounds can be provided when the user places their mouse over the button.  In addition, an icon for each button can be selected from a library.  As a further advantage, the styling for each button can be overidden from a default set.  Although not essential, a minimal knowledge of CSS allows buttons with your own mouseover or hover styles to be designed.
